Enjoy this refreshing combo of white and red pine needles.

Most coniferous tree’s are safe to eat and make tea’s and tinctures with. The White Pine, Red Pine, Spruce and Balsam Fir are the most common here in Ontario.


TEA:
Single Serve: 1/2 TBS per cup of tea, or more/less to your taste. Let steep for as long as you like. Drink as is or sweeten with honey.

Pot Serving: add 4 cups of a water to a pot, add 1 cup of needles to pot. Allow to reach boil, then place lid on pot and remove from high heat and place on low heat. Gentle simmer the needles for no more than 20 minutes. Serve immediately and store unused mixture in glass jar in the refrigerator. Add to your smoothies, reheat for a cup of tea or drink straight. Consume within 5 days of making.
